About
The reason for Blockopedia is simple…we live our lives this way.
We get to work and play with fabrics and wood blocks as part of our lifestyle. Blockopedia is an Australian owned and Queensland based textile and wood block business founded by Vicki Howlett (Australian) and Denise Tamou (New Zealander). We are new friends brought together through our adult children and a desire to be creative.
Taking design inspiration from our Oceanic environment and heritage, we work closely with artisans in Rajasthan, India to collaboratively produce ranges of ethically sourced hand carved wood blocks, and unique block and mud printed fabrics.
